India vs Bangladesh, 2nd Test

In the second Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first against Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Bangladesh on Friday.

Despite security concerns about a stand at the old venue, which has been deemed unsafe, both teams are focused on the match. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be under the spotlight after their disappointing performances in Chennai. With the pitch expected to be slow and low, local player Kuldeep Yadav might join lead spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI

Bangladesh is up against a formidable task, particularly with the potential injury of their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. India, boasting a strong track record in Kanpur, has consistently outperformed Bangladesh in their previous 14 matches.

India’s formidable cricket team is set to face Bangladesh in the 2nd Test match at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium. Najmul Hossain Shanto had received significant praise before the India series, especially after Bangladesh’s impressive Test series victory against Pakistan on their home ground. However, the Bangladeshi Tigers couldn’t replicate their success in the 1st Test, suffering a massive 280-run defeat against Rohit Sharma and his squad.

How many times Bangladesh beat India in Test?

India and Bangladesh have faced each other in 13 Test matches, with India emerging victorious in 11 and the remaining two ending in draws. In the One Day International (ODI) format, the two teams have clashed 39 times, with India winning 31 matches, Bangladesh securing 7 victories, and one match resulting in no outcome. In the T20 International (T20I) format, India has dominated, winning 11 out of 12 matches, with Bangladesh managing to win just one.
